BBC Your Paintings allows for digital glimpses of Yorkshire painting collections. Many of the artworks featured are not currently on display, making for a way to experience the depth of Yorkshire’s collections aside from current exhibitions. The BBC project is ground-breaking and encourages close-looking. The site enables the realisation that Yorkshire hosts an impressive variety of international and British artists’ work across a range of galleries and museums.
